The Forklift operator/General Labourer is responsible for shipping, receiving, recording, planning, forklift operation, and organizing and processing the movement of inbound and outbound products and materials. The Shipper/Receiver prepares shipping and receiving documents, tracks and inspects product. This individual must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing items. This position could potentially lead into advancement for the right individual.
Duties & Responsibilities
Organization of goods, materials and equipment in the warehouse and yard
Labeling and putting away all materials in appropriate stocking locations
Coordinating outgoing deliveries, preparing and loading according to specific instructions
Receives and verifies incoming shipments against shipping documents
Distributes incoming shipments to appropriate locations
Receives requisitions and processes orders as required
Maintains inventory list and internal record keeping for all associated department products
Loading and unloading shipments using a forklift, hand jack and/or other means
Organizing and maintaining the stock room
Regularly move heavy pails by hand
Data Entry
Liaison with delivery drivers and/ or customers
Other duties and responsibilities at Door Painters as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience
Warehousing experience in shipping and receiving
Fork Lift certification
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have valid driver's license and clear drivers' abstract
Basic knowledge and/or experience in shipping/receiving duties

Required experience
Receiving/Shipping minimum 2-years
Fork Lift Certification
Must have transportation and valid Class 5 Driver's license.
Must be allowed to work in Canada and live in BC. If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada, Door Painters will not consider your job application.

Position hours
Mon - Friday 7:15 am to 4:45 pm with overtime as required, earlier starts may be required, and occasional Saturdays
Wages
$20.00 p/hour and company benefits (dental, extended health provided after 3-month probationary period)
