Chinook Transport Service is a family-owned and operated temperature-controlled cartage company shipping FTL and LTL produce, dairy, meats, seafood, baked goods and beverages throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.We are currently seeking a Fork Lift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our team to assist in managing our amazing growth in the temperature-controlled last-mile trucking industry. This is a very hands-on position requiring the right individual to quickly familiarize themselves with our operations and make an immediate impact.To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in Transportation/Logistics/warehousing and have an Alberta Forklift CertificateResponsibilities:

• Perform daily functions of the warehouse
• Loading and unloading 53-foot temperature-controlled trailers Organizing freight and warehouse for daily cross-docking activities
• Ensure all inbound and outbound freight is accurately and efficiently received and shipped in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with general labour tasks and participate in ongoing development projects.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience operating a forklift and Alberta Forklift Certified
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• Experience loading and unloading LTL trailers and trucks
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Basic computer skills are required
• Strong command of the English language and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Availability to work occasional weekends.

Experience:

• Forklift: 3 years (preferred)
