We are currently recruiting an experienced Foreman with industrial concrete experience to oversee operators, craft and laborers on a large concrete project that will take approximately 2.5 years with the potential for more work should the project be a success. This position is based out of our head office in Edmonton and on site (30/70). 40 hours per week while in the office and 10 hours per day Monday to Thursday and 8 on Friday while on site plus overtime as required. Site start time is 7:00 am. Looking for those that can work local to Fort Saskatchewan. There is no LOA for this job.Compensation/Benefits

Large scale industrial concrete work. Form work, prep work, grade beams, slab on grade, piles, rebar, place and finish, winter concrete, pile caps, etc. The CM will manage both the self-performed and subcontracted project work.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the successful execution of all concrete construction scopes of work (ground prep, form work, flat work, winter concrete, pile caps, foundations, building pads, transformer pads, grade beams, slab on grade, etc.).
  • Assist in directing the crew on multiple concrete related scopes while ensuring the safety of the crew and adherence to permit restrictions.
  • Lead by example - work ethic, safety, leadership.
  • Set up work completion schedules.
  • Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials.
  • Execute work in line with federal, provincial, client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations.
  • Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements.
  • Assist Construction Manager and/or Superintendent with daily reports, schedules and manpower.
  • Work on the tools as needed
  • Lead, train and mentor direct reports.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of concrete experience managing concrete crews and sub-trades preferably in an industrial construction environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • A journeyman level trades background is preferred or equivalent non-ticketed experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and contracts.
  • Experience in scheduling and labour budget preparation.
  • Experience in Microsoft and/or Google applications.
  • A demonstrated background in team leadership with a focus on worksite safety.
