As Foreign Exchange (FX) Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Treasury Manager in supporting the currency hedge desk to manage grain business risks.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Prepare daily cash flow analysis and projections;
• Reconcile daily Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) statements;
• Prepare monthly journal entries related to FX and analyze impacts to P&L statements;
• Identify and disseminate FX exposures within grain related cash flows and positions;
• Communicate with Grain Merchants and Treasury Manager to analyze changes in currency positions;
• Compile, reconcile and report the daily Merchandising FX Inventory and AR \xe2\x80\x93AP positions;
• Confirm, reconcile, and report daily and month-end bank forward settlements (within FXall);
• Work on FX projects as required;
• Flexible working hours may be required.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Accounting designation and/or relevant work experience;
• Grain accounting experience would be an asset;
• Experience or background in the grain and/or treasury industries would be an asset;
• Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to the team;
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
