Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents following standardized recipes
• Review regular and therapeutic menus
• Set up equipment and supplies for daily food production
• Monitor the quality and freshness of food
• Ensure the food is kept at the right temperature
• Assist cooking staff as required
• Clean dinnerware, equipment, and dining/kitchen area thoroughly
• A garbage disposal as required

Requirements:

• Good communication skills in English
• Food Healthcare Certificate is required
• Previous experience in commercial kitchens would be an asset
• High degree of concern for the quality of care for senior residents
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting objects
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor toward guests and staff
• Must be agreeable to obtaining a vulnerable sector check as part of the employment
