A&W Merecroft, in Campbell River, BC, is looking for 2 permanent full-time Food Service Supervisors to start immediately.

Starting hourly wage is $17.00 - $17.75, depending upon experience and/or completion of in-house training. Food Service Supervisors Requirements:
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3 years experience in food service/preparation
\xc2\xb7 Supervisory experience in food preparation is an asset
\xc2\xb7 Completion of secondary school or equivalent
\xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate effectively in English
\xc2\xb7 Ability to deal well with a variety of people: customers, fellow employees and management
\xc2\xb7 Initiative, good judgment, ability to make quick decisions under stressful conditions
\xc2\xb7 Responsible, reliable, honest
\xc2\xb7 High standard of cleanliness and hygiene
\xc2\xb7 Ability to manage multiple tasks
\xc2\xb7 Valid Food Safe Certificate (or agreement to obtain this within 30 days of promotion).
\xc2\xb7 Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
\xc2\xb7 Able to do some heavy lifting
Food Service Supervisors Duties and Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Ensures the well-being and safety of the customers and staff
\xc2\xb7 Works alongside employees, or independently, scheduled in various positions, taking orders or cooking, to ensure restaurant is continually meeting production demands and standards for food quality, service times and service experience
\xc2\xb7 Opens/closes the restaurant, with access to the safe and/or float
\xc2\xb7 Complies with all cash management and accounting procedures
\xc2\xb7 Assigns work stations and manages breaks
\xc2\xb7 Resolves issues within their realm of authority concerning the restaurant, staff and customers according to restaurant policies. Documents all issues and ensures management has necessary information regarding these issues.
\xc2\xb7 Effectively uses the operating system to balance key goals of speed, food quality and cost management.
\xc2\xb7 Completes various tasks as requested by management that may include but is not limited to: daily and weekly paperwork, inventory, purchasing
\xc2\xb7 Trains and coaches staff as directed by management. May also assist with staff performance evaluations as required by management
