We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our food service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service within the food industry. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen and dining areas operate smoothly, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of food service staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on food handling procedures, customer service excellence, and operational standards.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining proper storage conditions for all food items.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all kitchen and dining operations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menus that reflect customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items as needed, demonstrating culinary skills when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the food service operation.
Requirements
Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role within restaurants or hotels.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A background in kitchen operations or cooking is advantageous.
