Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner will serve as a vital link between the kitchen and dining area, ensuring that guests receive their orders promptly and accurately. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Ideal candidates will have experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments, and possess a positive attitude focused on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met Assist with food preparation and plating when needed to support kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests Handle food safely according to established protocols to prevent contamination or spoilage Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service Support servers by delivering beverages, condiments, or additional items as requested Ensure all serving utensils, trays, and equipment are sanitized and in good condition Uphold hospitality standards by providing friendly, attentive guest interactions

Experience

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus Background in serving, cashiering, or barista roles enhances suitability for this position Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members Familiarity with food preparation, meal presentation, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous Previous hotel or guest services experience is beneficial but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
