Evaluate daily operations Plan and organize daily operations Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems Train technicians, assistants, students or interns Supervise staff Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions Provide staff training Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures Oversee safety of operations Apply quality control procedure Monitor quality and production levels Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units Troubleshoot problems related to equipment Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
