Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that food is prepared and served in accordance with safety and quality standards. Your ability to manage time effectively and handle cash transactions will contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and Cash Register. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the service area, adhering to food safety guidelines. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety practices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests. Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with sanitation standards and practices in a kitchen setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Experience with cashiering duties is a plus. Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
