Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and safe dining experience for our guests. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a quick service or fast food setting.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining high-quality presentation. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining area for guests. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Adhere to all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in quick service or fast food environments. Culinary experience is a plus, along with familiarity with food preparation techniques. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential. Experience using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
