Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines, including basic food preparation and handling Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly Restock supplies and ensure the counter area is organized and presentable Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including cleaning and inventory management

Skills

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of food industry standards Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems like Micros POS Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Good time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus, along with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
