General Overview:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations and delivering exceptional service in the hotel's restaurant, bar, and banquet areas. This role supports the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving departmental goals in service quality, guest satisfaction, revenue and team development. The ideal candidate is proactive, guest-focused and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-shift leadership and supervision to front-of-house F&B staff.
Lead by example to foster a positive and professional work environment.
Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of restaurant, lounge, and banquet outlets.
Assist with scheduling, shift assignments, inventory, and daily opening/closing duties.
Maintain superior cleanliness and organization across F&B service areas.
Greet and interact with guests in a warm, professional manner.
Resolve service issues promptly and effectively, escalating when needed.
Ensure food and beverage quality and service exceed guest expectations.
Adhere to hotel policies, brand standards, food safety, and liquor service regulations.
Support internal reporting including payroll inputs, billing accuracy, and month-end tasks.
Maintain security of guest information, keys, and company property.
Liaise with kitchen and conference teams to ensure service standards are upheld.
Support banquet event execution and guest satisfaction in coordination with other departments.
Participate in departmental meetings and hotel initiatives.
Assist with menu feedback and promotional planning.
Other related tasks and projects as assigned.

Other Abilities, Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
Knowledge of wine service and POS systems is preferred.
Responsible Beverage Service certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Hospitality diploma or related education is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required.
Experience with Canva or similar design tools is considered an asset for this role.
Working Conditions:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Fast-paced environment that may require bending, kneeling, and multi-tasking.
Schedule varies based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
