Position Title: Food and Beverage Server (Part Time)

Toronto Club is Canada's oldest and most prestigious private, member-owned city club. Founded in 1837, it has occupied its purpose-built clubhouse since 1889. The Club is located in downtown Toronto in the heart of the financial district. The clubhouse is one of the best preserved Victorian buildings in Toronto. It was recognized as a heritage property by the City of Toronto in 1984 and by the Ontario Heritage Foundation in 2002.

The Clubhouse is a 40,000 square foot, three-storey building that has been maintained in excellent condition. The facilities include four lounges, a formal a la carte dining room seating 95 (140 for private functions), five private dining rooms seating from two to forty persons, and a fully-stocked 13,000-bottle wine cellar. The Club's rooms are richly decorated and furnished and house an outstanding collection of Canadian paintings and prints.

The Club is an oasis of understated elegance, refinement, good manners, civility and decorum. It is strictly a members-only club providing very limited reciprocal privileges with select high-quality Clubs in the United States.

The Toronto Club is known for its excellent food and wine, and its highly professional service provided by its stable, well-trained and dedicated long-term staff. The Club serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Friday, opens occasionally for Saturday functions, and is currently closed on Sunday and all public holidays.

The Club offers its members a programme of special events including: four annual wine dinners featuring rare wines from its extensive cellar; an Annual Black-Tie Members' Dinner at which a different distinguished member is honoured each year; high-profile guest speaker dinners, cultured events, and a Christmas Buffet Luncheon.

The successful applicant will be an integral part of a high-performing team at one of the most highly regarded city clubs in Canada. Toronto Club is searching for passionate, professional servers with an excellent focus on attention to detail, elevated food and beverage service proficiency, with experience in fine dining an asset.

We are searching for candidates that have:

- Previous fine dining experience in a private Club setting or fine dining restaurant.

- Commitment to delivering a flawless and professional dining experience.

- Effectively follow established health & safety / dining room guidelines and standards.

- Contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate a positive attitude.

- A real understanding of what a team can do when working together rather than as individuals.

- A high level of integrity and ability to be extremely responsible with confidentiality and excellent ability to maintain discretion.

- Successful completion of Smart Serve training.
