Catering to the needs of both external and internal guests
Adhering to company policies and procedures with respect to customer service, service standards and cleanliness
Monitoring inventories during shift to ensure we have the necessary supplies on hand to serve our guests and notifying the supervisor of items needed to be ordered
Working various shifts to meet the needs of our guests
Monitoring the consistency of the food coming from the kitchen to ensure all cooks are producing and presenting dishes the same way - every day ensuring consistency to our guests
Completing cleaning tasks and side duties
Practicing up sell techniques to sell dessert, liquor, and add on menu items.
Collecting payment from our guests
Sharing any questions, comments or suggestions brought forth by guests.
Providing friendly, prompt service at all times to all guests.
Ensuring room charges are immediately forwarded to the front desk for posting.
Completing end of shift paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and delivering to the front desk
Following all safe food handling practices
Adhering to the uniform standards of the dining room
Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.70-$15.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Port Hastings, NS B9A 1M5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
Serving: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
Work Location: In person
