Job Description

We are looking for a Food and Beverage Server responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Duties include taking food and drink orders, writing them down on order slips, and ensuring that tables are correctly served, and all payments are collected. To succeed in this role, you must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.

• Address customers\' complaints or concerns

• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers\' tables

• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings

• Describe menu items including daily specials for customers

• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations

• Advise on menu selections

• Balance cash and record sales

• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs

• Describe and advise on wine selection

• Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages

• Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware

• Serve food and beverages

• Supervise other servers and bussing staff

• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff

• Schedule staff

• Train staff

• Assist clients/guests with special needs

• Provide customer service

• Receive payments from customers

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $14.50-$15.50 per hour Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
