This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of a passionate, dynamic team that is here to disrupt the fitness industry.About the Role:Join our team as the dynamic leader overseeing the Food and Beverage department at Sweat and Tonic\'s Front and Spadina location. We\'re seeking an individual with strong business acumen and a successful history in high-volume, quick service restaurant settings. As the steward of two concepts under one roof, you\'ll manage Tonic Bar which operates at high-volume, serving smoothies, coffee, and grab-and-go options, and Tonic House; an elevated experience with a dedicated bartenders serving cocktails and snacks into the night. Both concepts play a pivotal role in our mission to elevate fitness and wellness in Canada. This role presents a career-defining opportunity to join the leadership team of an innovative and dynamic company at the forefront of shaping the future of wellness.Primary Job Responsibilities:Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a dynamic team of Tonic Bar team members, baristas, and bartenders.
  • Consistently model exceptional leadership, creating a positive work environment, coaching team members, and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to team management.
  • Foster a positive workplace, encouraging dialogue and communication among team members.
  • Create and manage weekly schedules for the team.
Operational Excellence:
  • Effectively manage time and allocate resources for both Tonic Bar and Tonic House, with a focus on after-hours success for Tonic House\'s cocktail bar.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with equipment and basic recipes, covering espresso machines, POS systems, fridges, and food prep equipment.
  • Ensure impeccable organization and cleanliness throughout the front of house, dining, and kitchen areas.
  • Manage inventory, including procurement and tracking of all food, beverages, and other goods for use or sale.
Concept and Menu Development:
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Food and Beverage Manager to develop the long-term concept for Tonic House at The Well, integrating seasonal opportunities and attractions such as live DJs, menu specials, and brand partnerships.
  • Work closely with the Senior Food and Beverage Manager to strategize promotional calendars and menu releases for sales growth.
  • Implement quarterly menu tweaks to meet seasonal demand and boost sales.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Corporate Sales, Events Manager and Studio Managers for events and staff training.
Inventory Management and Efficiency:
  • Implement inventory management through daily, weekly, and monthly counts, ensuring accurate COGs data for monthly assessments.
  • Drive efficiencies to maintain sufficient food and packaging inventory at all times.
P&L Management:
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Food and Beverage Manager to achieve monthly performance goals.
About You:
  • You have a proven track record of success in a F&B or retail environment, managing a complex business w/ multiple revenue streams
  • You have experience managing and/or training bartenders
  • You are analytical and comfortable balancing data and intuition to make decisions
  • You are obsessed with numbers and have strong P&L experience
  • You love working with software to help you run your business more efficiently
  • You exhibit an ownership mentality and don\'t rest until the job is done
  • You excel at problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, can effectively convey information
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills, showcasing a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience
  • Self-motivated and possess a collaborative, team-oriented approach to work
  • Interest in health and fitness is a valuable asset
  • Smart Serve and Food Handlers is an asset, but not required
