Key Responsibilities:

The primary role of this position serves food and beverages to all patrons at any event at the Sudbury Arena.

Conduct opening/closing inventory counts daily. Serve alcoholic beverages to patrons while following Smart Serve requirements. Set up/tear down of kiosks. Monitor for underage/overserved patrons and notify management. Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation. Taking orders on a POS system/collecting payment for orders. Preparing the food service area for the night which includes food preparation. May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Smart Serve is required. Food Handler Certification is required. Ability work well alone and under pressure. Outstanding listening, written and verbal communication skills. Maintain a flexible work schedule. Honesty and professional integrity. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with a proactive positive attitude. Previous experience in food service, concessions, or hospitality preferred. Ability to work unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods during events.
