We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, handling transactions, and supporting food service operations to deliver a memorable dining experience. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in the food industry while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Process payments efficiently, including cash handling and credit card transactions
Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining space and service stations
Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed, ensuring smooth restaurant operations
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly and courteously
Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures in accordance with industry standards
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
Basic kitchen experience or serving background is advantageous but not mandatory
