We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in food service and restaurant management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage team performance, ensure food safety standards, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings, along with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Micros POS, is highly desirable. The House Supervisor will play a key role in supervising staff, managing food handling procedures, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and food safety.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth workflow and excellent guest experiences
Manage team members including interviewing, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Handle customer service issues promptly to resolve concerns and enhance guest satisfaction
Oversee cash handling processes including POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
Lead team management efforts including supervising staff during shifts and providing leadership in high-pressure situations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
Assist with restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring operational efficiency
Support hospitality services including serving guests, managing barista or bar services if applicable, and ensuring an inviting environment
Experience
Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management roles
Extensive background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing
Prior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred, especially roles involving team management or supervisory responsibilities
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff
Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
Knowledge of restaurant experience including kitchen operations, serving techniques, and hospitality best practices
Experience with interviewing potential staff members and contributing to hiring decisions is a plus
