The Front of House Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant's front-of-house activities. This position is responsible for overseeing customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, with experience in restaurant management and team supervision.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations to ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Train, mentor, and manage staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, to foster a positive work environment.
Oversee food preparation and service processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the Micros POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
Maintain effective communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel to ensure seamless service.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest experiences.
Implement strategies to improve service efficiency and overall restaurant performance.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all aspects of food handling and service.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and serving with knowledge of food safety practices.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and training.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in cash handling is essential.
A background in hotel or barista services is a plus but not required.
