Job Summary


A dynamic role for a skilled analyst with excellent research and communication skills

The Policy Analyst will provide research and policy analysis/evaluation to support policy development. The Mineral, Oil and Gas Revenue Branch is a busy branch. The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment is required to be successful in this position.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree in social science, business administration, public administration, law, economics and two (2) years *related experience.
  • Related experience includes:
  • Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
  • Experience managing projects and/or project components with tight deadlines.
  • Experience concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.

Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:
  • Experience with tax administration or resource sector legislation, programs and/or initiatives
  • Experience working directly with policy and legislation.
  • Experience working with complex FOIPPA requests.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until April 30th, 2024. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
