The Floral Arranger/Bouquet Designer plays a critical role in the production team of a busy wholesale floral business, focusing on creating high volumes of pre-designed fresh flower bouquets and arrangements for chain retail customers. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, detail, and care to ensure that all floral arrangements and bouquets meet established quality standards while being completed under tight deadlines. The Floral Arranger must work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, using critical thinking to adapt when flowers are damaged, out of stock, or otherwise unusable. Teamwork, problem-solving, and a passion for floral design are essential in maintaining the company's reputation for delivering beautiful and consistent floral arrangements to customers.

Key Responsibilities
Floral Arrangement Production:
Assemble a high volume of pre-designed fresh flower bouquets and arrangements according to company specifications and designs.
Ensure that all arrangements are created with precision, detail, and care to meet the company's quality standards.
Follow established production processes to meet daily and weekly quotas for floral arrangements.
Problem-Solving and Adaptation:
Identify and resolve issues with damaged, unusable, or out-of-stock flowers by finding suitable replacements or adjusting arrangements, ensuring customer expectations are met.
Collaborate with the Floral Design Supervisor and team to adapt arrangements as needed while maintaining the intended aesthetic.
Quality Control:
Inspect floral products to ensure freshness and quality before and after arranging.
Adhere to company guidelines on flower handling, storage, and design standards to ensure the longevity and appearance of the finished products.
Efficiency and Deadline Management:
Work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines, ensuring that all arrangements are completed on schedule for distribution to chain retail customers.
Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to maintain productivity without compromising the quality of the arrangements.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Work closely with other floral arrangers and the production team to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow.
Communicate effectively with the Floral Design Supervisor regarding any issues, delays, or changes in production.
Inventory Management
Assist in tracking inventory of flowers and supplies, alerting the supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
Handle flowers and supplies responsibly to minimize waste and preserve product quality.
Working Conditions:
Primarily based in a warehouse or cooler environment, temperature controlled to as low as (4C)
Frequent standing and manual labor, including lifting and moving floral products.
Fast-paced work with tight deadlines, especially during peak seasons.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in floral arranging, production, or design, particularly in a high-volume or wholesale environment, is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in arranging floral products.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure to meet production goals.
Critical thinking skills to adapt to challenges, such as damaged or missing products.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to handle fresh florals and delicate materials with care and precision.
Basic knowledge of floral design principles and flower types is an asset.
