Overview

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and related construction skills. This role involves working with various types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality installations that meet customer specifications and industry standards. The Flooring Installer will play a crucial role in transforming spaces, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

Install a variety of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet. Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements. Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayment. Lay tiles or other flooring materials with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations. Perform carpentry tasks as needed to ensure proper fit and finish of flooring materials. Apply caulking and other finishing touches to enhance the durability and appearance of installations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns during the installation process.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation. Strong understanding of construction principles and practices. Experience in flooring installation techniques, including tile laying. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Basic carpentry skills for making necessary adjustments during installations. Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing edges and joints effectively. Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in home improvement tasks.
