Hiring Flight Follower clearGRID is looking for a candidate who is interested in filling the part time position of Flight Follower who enjoys working in a dynamic environment within the aviation industry. • Flight Following:Coordinate with Chief Pilot to ensure safe practices are being followed and Transport Canada\xe2\x80\x99s flight requirements are being adhered to

Coordinate with the Pilot-in-Command to ensure the flight is conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with all Canadian and foreign regulations, company policies, and procedures
Responsible for flight watch over all Company flights
Ensure that any information pertaining to abnormal operations, unusual conditions, and activities, or operational irregularities is reported to the Operations Manager and Chief Pilot
Collect weather and runway conditions for Flight Crew and Flight Operations management, reporting changes as required; monitor and relay as requested or when significant changes occur
Coordinate Irregular Operations (IROPS) actions, including delaying or canceling flights, crew coordination, FBO requirements, etc. and communicate both internally and externally
Carry out Flight Follower responsibilities in the Emergency Response Program
Operation of company data collection equipment and associated duties
Quality assurance on operational data logging
Participate in the photographic inspection program during survey projects

• Assist in administrative tasks delegated by the Operations Manager
• Any other duties and/or tasks as assigned by the Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Aviation weather Knowledge, reading weather data
• Flexible schedule
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work on-call 24/7, shift work, overnights, and long hours unsupervised
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
• Ability to read and interpret aviation weather reports
• Must be self-motivated
• Strong communication skills
• Intermediate skills in Excel or Google Spreadsheets
• Proficient with Microsoft Word
• Effective time management and multitasking
• Analytical and organized, with excellent attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and knowledge is an asset
• Scheduling experience is an asset
• Transport Canada PPL or CPL license is an asset
• Data analysis skills is an asset
• Hands on skills are an asset

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work both day and night Flight Following shifts
• Working alone
• Able to take on tasks and roles outside the normal job description
• Reserve shifts
