FLEET SERVICE MANAGER

Located at 490 Lucas Avenue, Winnipeg, we are currently looking for an experienced Fleet Service Manager to our team. Someone who is equally passionate about serving the community and achieving operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees.

Reporting to the Director, Fleet Maintenance, this position is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the Winnipeg maintenance Shop. The manager is responsible to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the shop while focusing on fleet up time and cost effective repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership to all aspects of the shop management. This is a non-unionized environment.
  • Also responsible for satellite fleets in Regina and Saskatchewan
  • Ensure shop Team always works in a safe manner/environment.
  • Maintaining an efficient maintenance staff by supporting technical needs, mentoring and problem solving difficult repair issues.
  • Ensuring that trucks, trailers & MHE maintenance is carried out efficiently (S.R.T's uses as a measurement tool).
  • Ensuring the output of work by team members is done in a timely manner and everyone is focused on high priority equipment repairs and meeting CCS operational needs. Work done, Right first time.
  • Ensuring all preventative maintenance and related company polices and/or procedures are followed.
  • Ensuring that the CCS Maintenance Software system (TMW) is used as per company S.O.P's and timelines.
  • Ensures that shop and all support staff adheres to all provincial & federal standards and related safety requirements.
  • Meet operational requirements for equipment availability
  • Ensuring shop meet or exceeds MTCE budget and the total maintenance spend on company owned equipment is per company expectation.
  • Able to understand financials, draw conclusion from analysis and put improvement into practice - as necessary
Core Qualifications:
  • Must have a journeyman's license
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous fleet maintenance leadership experience.
  • Must be current with latest truck technology and understand trends
  • Good understanding of diagnostic tools
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, able to effectively use excel
  • Strong interpersonal & leaderships skills
  • Great communicating ability to Operations customer & maintenance Team
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Maximize return from warranty.
  • Good attention to detail
