Valard Construction LP is currently seeking local experienced Fleet Mechanic - Truck and Coach Technician 310T Mechanic in Concord, Ontario. Valard Construction LP is Canadaxe2x80x99s premier utility contractor, as well as head of the Valard Group of Companies AND part of the Quanta Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy.Requirements

• Examine various systems within truck diagnose problems
• Run computerized diagnostic tests to help identify components that might be malfunctioning
• Extremely developed analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting any complex mechanical problems
• Maintenance and repair of complex electrical and hydraulic systems, while using a high degree of judgement
• Experience in maintenance and repairs to truck mounted knuckle boom cranes or heavy-duty equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and solid diagnostic skills in mobile electrical and hydraulic systems
• Completing service documentation in a timely manner
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
• Perform routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to optimize vehicle functionality and longevity
• Keep detailed records on all work performed
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license
• Must have boom repair experience
• 310T is required
• Live within 40km of our shop in Vaughan and be able to arrive at the office safely within 30 minutes
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated and self-driven

Working Conditions:

• Shop/Garage Environment and on-road/site repairs when needed
• Day Shifts - Monday through Friday
