About the Role




We are seeking a

Fleet and Sustainability Manager

to join our

Transportation Operations

team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about fleet optimization, data-driven decision-making, and driving meaningful progress toward sustainability and electrification goals.


Reporting to the Strategy and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both company-owned and third-party fleets, while also leading strategic initiatives to improve fleet performance, increase electric vehicle (EV) adoption, and drive broader sustainability efforts.

How You'll Make an Impact



Fleet Management & Optimization



Lead vehicle procurement strategy, including lease vs. buy decisions and vehicle selection aligned with business and sustainability goals. Manage relationships with fleet vendors, leasing partners, fuel providers, and maintenance providers. Oversee daily fleet operations such as dispatching, utilization, maintenance, and telematics. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime and extend vehicle life. Ensure compliance with all applicable national and provincial regulations.

Sustainability & ESG Leadership



Drive fleet electrification and decarbonization strategies aligned with GoBolt's sustainability commitments. Conduct ROI and cost-benefit analyses for electric and alternative-fuel vehicle transitions. Oversee EV charging infrastructure planning and implementation in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Integrate sustainability into day-to-day operations and long-term transportation strategy.

Data, Reporting & Compliance



Monitor fleet KPIs including subleasing progress, fuel efficiency, idle time, and EV adoption (% network-wide and by merchant). Report insights and recommendations to leadership to drive performance improvements. Ensure accurate data collection and ESG reporting; support in building and maintaining dashboards that track fleet and sustainability performance.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement



Act as the primary point of contact for fleet and sustainability initiatives. Engage with government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners on compliance, incentives, and sustainability best practices.

What You Bring to the Table



You have 3+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-performance environment

s like startups or consulting, with a focus on strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

You have a proven track record of owning complex projects

from idea to launch -- defining scope, navigating ambiguity, and driving results.

You act like an owner

-- you take responsibility for outcomes and want to shape the direction of the company.

You're analytical and data-driven

-- quick to identify trends, solve problems, and optimize for impact. You're fluent in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable with SQL or eager to learn.

You learn fast, adapt quickly, and take action with confidence

-- scrappy, resourceful, and ready to pivot as new information emerges.

You're highly organized

and able to balance short-term priorities, long-term goals, and cross-functional team needs.

Bonus Points:



You have experience at an early-stage or rapidly scaling startup. You have experience working in the last-mile, parcel, or field service delivery industry. You have knowledge of local/federal EV incentives, grant writing, and public-private partnerships. You have earned an advanced degree or certification in sustainability or environmental science, or credentials related to fleet management (e.g., CAFM).
