You will be responsible for transporting diverse cargo ranging from construction materials and machinery to specialized steel ensuring every load is secured to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Load Securement:
Expertly apply straps, chains, binders, and winches to ensure 100% load stability.
Tarping:
Efficiently tarp and untarp loads in various weather conditions to protect cargo from the elements.
Inspections:
Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the tractor, trailer, and securement equipment.
Professionalism:
Act as the face of the company at shipper and receiver sites, maintaining clear communication with dispatch.
Required Qualifications
License:
Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License with a clean abstract.
Experience:
Minimum 3
years
of verifiable flatbed hauling experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in various securement techniques.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs (tarps) and climb onto trailers safely.
Reliability:
A solid history of punctuality and a "safety-first" mindset.
