Flatbed Truck Driver - Cross-Border (Halifax ? New England ? Montreal)

Full-Time Permanent Starting ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Class 1/A Flatbed Driver

to handle dedicated lanes between Halifax (NS), the New England states (USA), and Montreal (QC). If you have at least

two (2) years of verifiable cross-border flatbed experience

and a strong safety record, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Operate late-model flatbed equipment on regional and long-haul routes (Halifax-New England-Montreal) Secure, tarp, and inspect freight in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, and NS/Quebec regulations Complete electronic logs, customs/ACE manifests, bills of lading, and pre/post-trip inspections accurately Communicate proactively with dispatch on load status, border crossings, and any delays Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly

What You'll Need

Valid

Class 1/A Commercial Driver's Licence

with air-brake endorsement

2 + years

of recent, verifiable cross-border

flatbed

experience Clean driver's abstract (no major violations in the past 3 years) Ability to tarp, chain, and strap loads safely (up to 75 lbs lifting) Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check Eligibility to enter the United States and return to Canada without restrictions

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive mileage rate of $0.60 for US and $0.50 for CA+ tarp & securement premiums (average

Weekends home most weeks (typical 5-6 day dispatches)

2023-2025 tractors, well-maintained flatbeds
