Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Flatbed Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires proficiency in transportation management systems and a solid understanding of supply chain operations.

Duties

Manage and coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient routing of freight. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with drivers regarding pick-up and delivery instructions. Maintain accurate data entry for shipping and receiving activities. Analyze shipment data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency. Handle multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls from clients and drivers. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch activities.

Skills

Proficient in transportation management systems. Strong understanding Flatbed Operation, supply chain processes and freight operations. Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. Effective analysis skills to assess operational performance and implement improvements. Outstanding phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures is preferred. Strong typing skills to facilitate quick documentation and reporting.
