Overview

Local mechanical contracting company is seeking an experienced and reliable flat deck driver with a forklift license. The perfect candidate is someone who is punctual, reliable, attentive to details, with experience driving flat deck trucks as well as loading, unloading and securing heaving equipment safely.

Duties

Operate forklift to move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas with precision Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs Assist in inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining accurate records of movement Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members for timely order fulfillment Handle heavy lifting safely when required, adhering to ergonomic guidelines

Requirements

Proven experience driving a flat deck truck, and operating a forklift in a warehouse environment Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues with forklift equipment Ability to move safely and efficiently Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures Valid forklift certification/license preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for qualified candidates Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
