Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both workers and the public at construction sites. This position involves directing traffic, setting up signage, and communicating effectively with team members and drivers to maintain a safe working environment. This is a

seasonal position lasting approximately 20 months

, with the

potential to transition into a long-term role

based on performance and project availability. Although our office is located in Steinbach, the job site will be located in

Lorette, MB.

Responsibilities

Direct traffic around construction zones using appropriate hand signals and signage. Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers. Communicate clearly with other flaggers and work crews using radios or hand signals. Monitor traffic conditions and respond appropriately to changing situations. Follow safety regulations and company procedures at all times. Report unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.

Experience

Previous experience as a Flagger or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong attention to safety and detail. You

must

have a valid driver's license and mode of transportation to get to and from work.
