What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

We are currently seeking an apparel Fit & Spec Technician (TD Specialist) to join the Forward With Design team that sits within the Consumer Brands East Division at CTC. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the Forward With Design products and will be accountable to deliver against our mandate and strategic priorities.

The Forward With Design brand aims to deliver solutions for the active nomad who live on the go daily lives. Our mandate with the FWD brand is to help build the equity of our brand by improving the design and experience associated with our assortment sold across Canada. The Product Developer\xe2\x80\x99s role within the team is to support the mandate by developing high quality products that not only help deliver a consistent, authentic, and customer-driven product experience through our brand, but also meet target margins and price points.

Working along side design team, cross functional PD team to execute on all fit & construction activities.

Develop all measurement sheets, grading sheets for men\xe2\x80\x99s and women\xe2\x80\x99s apparel products

Measure and review proto samples based on submitted tech pack

Lead all fittings with design & PD teams to ensure garments are meeting fit expectations and consistency.

Take notes of the required fit and construction corrections discussed for assigned styles

Ensure construction and fit consistency across all products

Communicate all fit & construction issues and solutions to vendors and cross functional partners

Continuously evaluate fit requirements and help drive fit improvements across the brand.

What you bring

3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 in a similar fit & spec role

Experience working in men\xe2\x80\x99s and women\xe2\x80\x99s activewear, with a strong background in technical garments.

Strong problem solving skills and ability to solve problems quickly

Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Excellent Problem-Solving skills; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop solutions to drive product development projects forward

Process orientation; demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development to scale up a fast-growing lifestyle brand

Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged

Passion; candidates must be passionate about the mission to develop products with clean ingredients and manufacturing and supply chain processes

An organized and detail-oriented mindset; able to tackle multiple projects with varying scope and project teams.
