The location of this job is flexible, based out of one of our 11 office locations in Western Canada.

WONDERING WHAT YOU\'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.
  • Collaborate with our team of restoration specialists to complete grant funded and offsetting related fish habitat restoration projects in Western Canada.
  • Provide technical leadership within the restoration team (i.e. engineers, biologists, environmental monitors) to identify, design and implement fish habitat restoration projects, and execute monitoring plans.
  • Take part in business development, R&D, and internal process development related to restoration projects.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate technical staff.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
  • Graduate degree in fish biology, earth science, geography, geomorphology, environmental science, or engineering.
  • R.P.Bio., P.Geo., P.Eng., or other applicable professional designation, with 10+ years working on design and implementation of fish habitat restoration projects (e.g. natural channel design).
  • Salmonid habitat restoration experience in Western Canada or the Pacific Northwest USA.
  • Experience overseeing construction contractors during the construction of fish habitat restoration projects.
  • Worked with an interdisciplinary team including biologists, other professionals, contractors, and stakeholders.
