The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Planning and completing fieldwork related to fish and fish habitat and/or stock assessment (via sonar)
  • Analyzing and interpreting data and preparing technical reports, memos and other project deliverables
  • Assisting with the preparation of project budgets and proposals
  • Preparing and supporting our clients with project assessment (YESAA) and permitting (Fisheries Act) of their projects
  • Working effectively in a team environment to meet goals of the project productively and safely

Job requirements includes:
  • A passion for your career
  • B.Sc. degree in biology or related discipline(s)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fish biology-related discipline
  • Proven record of crew lead experience related to aquatic biology and comfortable working in remote locations
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with effects assessment (e.g. YESAA) and permitting (Fisheries Act) considered an asset
  • A proven record of professional report writing and data analysis
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a R.P. Bio or as P. Biol. considered an asset
