Who we are:

The Global Risk Management, Retail Credit Risk manages the risks of lending credit to retail and small business customers, maximizing profitability and includes: Risk Technology, Retail Risk Secured Lending and Small Business, and Retail Risk Data and Analytics. This contains analyzing the effectiveness of risk strategies, performing portfolio trend analysis, and pulling, summarizing, and presenting data.

What you can expect:

Portfolio Monitoring

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
  • Execute on data requests accurately within a timely manner.
  • Owner of the end-to-end reporting process (from raw data in SQL tables to automated production-grade dashboards) and be the key point of contact.
  • Improve monitoring on new accounts acquired through different channels and special programs. Track vintage performance and ensure a healthy growth of the portfolio.
Origination Strategies
  • Analyze strategy effectiveness and proactively identify any emerging risks, make recommendations to support business growth while maintaining losses within risk appetite.
  • Ensure all new approved credit is aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements and will optimize risk/return over the long term.
  • Gain a deep understanding of various adjudication platforms and systems. Implement strategy changes across different technology platforms and channels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve/test new risk strategies with building a robust and competitive portfolio in mind.
Support Business Line Initiatives/Projects
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with business partners (product, operation, customer growth etc.) on new acquisition initiatives.
  • Represent Risk\'s point of view and liaise with stakeholders throughout the organization to listen actively, communicate, and explain risk measures clearly and as appropriate.
What we look for in successful candidates:
  • A University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Science, Finance or Business or 1 year of experience working in data analytics or data science
  • Must be comfortable manipulating data
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Results driven individual with high level of curiosity and ability to dive into details without losing sight of the big picture
  • Exceptional organization skills to prioritize, manage, and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis
  • Strong programming skills (SAS, SQL, R or Python languages) is an asset
