We are seeking an experienced and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position focuses on our
saute
and grill stations, requiring expertise in
meat cookery, steak preparation, and sauce production
. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and maintains composure during high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook all meat dishes to order, ensuring proper temperatures and presentation standards
Execute perfect steaks at all temperatures (rare through well-done) consistently
Prepare and maintain a variety of hot sauces including pan sauces, reductions, and compound butters
Work efficiently during peak service hours while maintaining quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized station throughout service
Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
Prep ingredients and mise en place for upcoming shifts
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years
of professional cooking experience in a restaurant setting
Expert knowledge of meat cookery and proper cooking temperatures
Proven ability to cook steaks to precise specifications
Strong sauce-making skills and understanding of classical techniques
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
Excellent knife skills and kitchen fundamentals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in hot kitchen environments
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Food Handler's Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-volume or fine dining establishments
Culinary school education or formal training
Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking methods
