IDP Course Description:



The Instructor Development Program prepares participants to deliver first aid courses for St. John Ambulance.

This 40 hour in-person training provides St John Ambulance Instructor Candidates the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively teach public First Aid courses with St John Ambulance.

As part of your development, Instructor Candidates will co-teach and monitor with experienced SJA instructors to practice skills learned in the IDP.

Cost of IDP = $655 - includes 40-hour course, teaching materials, Instructor Certificate.

COURSE CONTENT



Using a modular approach, participants learn:

Adult education theory Facilitation skills How to teach first aid skills Coaching and evaluating skills

PREREQUISITES



Standard First Aid + CPR-C Certification through St John Ambulance
