Firestopping Labourer
to join our dedicated team! If you have experience with fire-rated assemblies, are safety-conscious, and enjoy working in a fast-paced construction environment - we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Install firestop systems in walls, floors, and ceilings according to project specifications
Apply a variety of firestop materials, including caulks, sealants, wraps, and boards
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings related to fireproofing
Ensure work is compliant with building codes and manufacturer standards
Communicate effectively and respectfully with site supervisors and other trades
Maintain job site cleanliness and follow all safety protocols
What We're Looking For:
Experience in firestopping or a similar construction trade (asset, but willing to train the right candidate)
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Ability to travel within Atlantic provinces as needed, Monday to Friday (hotel and per diem provided for overnight stays)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, data, drawings, and project specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to fireproofing applications.
Valid driver's license, clean abstract, and reliable transportation to job sites. Class 1 Drivers License, air brakes or additional endorsements preferred.
Must be able to meet physical demands (i.e. lifting/holding 55lbs comfortably, standing for long periods).
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
