Areas of Accountability



Assist in tool-setup, take-down and maintenance of work area Report all low materials to the Foreman/ Field Superintendent. Inspect power cords, tools & ladders to ensure they are in safe working condition. Understand fabrication sheets, as prepared by Escape Fire Protection. Effectively analyze and interpret sprinkler system blueprints. Safely operate power tools, pipe threaders, pipe cutters, groovers and core drills. Conduct 200lb tests on various sprinkler systems. Basic understanding of Heat Trace installation. Basic understanding of fire stopping. Competent installation of BlazeMaster (and sprinkler heads) with minimal supervision. Competent installation of steel pipe (and sprinkler heads) with minimal supervision. Mentor / train Entry-Level Sprinkler Fitters, as directed. Submit applicable forms and reports as per EFP policy. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures set by Escape Fire Protection. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must have in-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14 & 10. Red-Seal Certification as a Sprinkler Fitter Obtained the BlazeMaster Certification Comfortable reading blueprints and schematics Valid BC Driver's License with a clear Driver's Abstract Superior organizational skills. Must be able to follow work instructions with attention to detail. Ability to use hand tools and have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Has the ability to use hand and power tools in a proper and safe manner. Has good reading comprehension, listening and speaking skills.
