What you will do


Johnson Controls invites you to apply for full-time employment located in Dieppe, NB. The general tasks of this position are to work throughout the province of New Brunswick with the Fire Service Team to conduct testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.


The role is a full-time, entry-level role and is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives.

How you will do it

• Manage a portfolio of recurring monthly visual inspections of emergency lighting and fire extinguishers throughout the province
• Establish a route that is efficient and maximizes utilization
• Using an electronic work order management system, use accurate real-time debriefing
• Complete and submit electronic inspection reports
• Responsible for meeting customer expectations while assisting with quality inspections; maintaining a professional demeanor with customers
• Assist lead technicians with day-to-day duties including reading and interpreting reports, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals
• Follow the safety program and complete all safety training and pre-job checklists as required
• Other roles and responsibilities as identified by your manager/supervisor

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training or certification such as Electronics Technologist training or equivalent
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Canadian citizen or legal right to work in Canada with any employer
• Ability to travel within the province. Willing to work overnight out of town as required
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Aptitude and interest in electronics and technical troubleshooting
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office suite, ability to learn and utilize smartphone apps, software programs, and computer systems
• Ability to pass criminal background and clean driving record; possess valid driver's license without restrictions
• Ability to obtain Reliability clearance
