About FinOps

FinOps is a methodology that helps organizations optimize their cloud spending by bringing together finance, engineering, product and business teams. As a FinOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining FinOps practices within our organization.

What you'll do:

Analyze cloud cost data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization. Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing resources, leveraging reserved instances, and automating cost controls. Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to promote cost awareness and accountability. Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud spending and identify cost savings. Stay up-to-date on the latest FinOps best practices and cloud billing tools. Participate in the development and implementation of FinOps policies and procedures.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with cloud cost management principles and practices (FinOps Foundation certification a plus). Experience working in SRE or DevOps role in some sort of capacity. Experience in Coding (Python, Go, Terraform). Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in cloud billing tools (e.g., Cost Explorer, BigQuery, Looker). Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) GCPpreferred.
