DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced

Finish Skid Steer Operator

for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area. DeFord is a leading contractor in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in municipal road projects, subdivision land development, parking lots, and other key infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

Operate a skid steer with precision to perform fine grading and surface finishing. Work on municipal road projects, subdivisions, parking lots, and other infrastructure developments. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment. Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other operators to meet project specifications and deadlines. Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs. Assist with other construction duties as required.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience operating a skid steer in construction, particularly in fine grading and finishing. Experience working in asphalt paving, gravel, concrete, and/or earthworks is a strong asset. Knowledge of grades, slopes, and elevation adjustments. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Must possess a valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ground Disturbance Level II; preferred.*
