Are you interested in joining the programming team at the Burnaby Village Museum? We are looking for passionate and engaging educators to deliver Outreach School Programs for children and youth. If you have a background in program delivery and non-conventional learning environments, are comfortable using technology for the purpose of presentations, and are skilled at public speaking, we would love to hear from you. Qualifications include completion of Grade 12 and sound experience delivering educational programs to a variety of age groups or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The ideal candidate has knowledge of interpretive techniques and museum principles, demonstrates great communication and customer service skills, and is quick to respond when faced with challenging circumstances. Preferred candidates are those who create positive, inclusive learning environments and actively motivate and support students. Fluency in French is considered an asset, whereas a valid Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia is required for this position.
Pay Rate: $35.70 - $56.10 per hour + 4% in lieu of benefits (2024 Rates)
Location: Burnaby Village Museum
Hours of work: This is a contract instructor position. Hours and shifts vary depending on program bookings.
