Purpose-led work you’ll be part of As a Financial Services Technology Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consult on a broad range of client engagements focused on CIO advisory and transformation related to strategic planning, cost reduction, digital strategy, architecture, etc.
  • Lead teams to gather and analyze client information and develop data-driven insights to support the development of platform and channel business and technology strategies
  • Lead client interactions to develop operating models, business and technology strategy and define functional technology platforms (lending, payments, core banking etc.)
  • Deep understanding of technologies not limited to cloud, data lakes, RPA, intelligent automation, process orchestration
  • Significant experience leading agile product development, including platform ceremonies, and agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards, etc)
  • Manage engagement team through end to end delivery (including project economics) of large scale technology delivery and integration
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables and that clients are satisfied with the work
  • Help clients to define the right technology solutions to move their business forward, with the goals of improving the effectiveness of our clients’ IT organizations and advise CIOs on key capabilities they need to develop
  • Set up and support a technology strategy, technology delivery and architecture projects
  • Assess operational readiness for the rollout of new products and services
  • Document, re-design and implement technology related processes
  • Manage multiple software or services vendors in the context of overall client project success
  • Stay abreast of key financial services industry developments both within Canada and globally
  • Lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements
  • Oversee the development of goals, objectives and focus areas for other staff
  • Connect across the PwC global network to share experiences and apply global ideas to our Canadian client base
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
  • A track record of managing the sales cycle and leading a team through business development activities
  • Relevant experience in a leading management or technology consulting firm, demonstrating knowledge of strategy, and technology used in asset-intensive clients to serve their customers and stakeholders
  • Successful experience managing or delivering large business and technology transformations and full life-cycle projects including experience with application / data migrations to the cloud, integrating front office and back office systems etc
  • Certifications in TOGAF, Azure/GCP/Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect are an asset
  • General knowledge of Analytics, Cyber security and Identity & Access Management would be an asset
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams.
  • Deep understanding of solution architecture, SDLC, release lifecycle, API lifecycle, technical documentation, including logical and physical architecture, and systems design artifacts
  • Demonstrated skills in analytics, business strategy, problem-solving, team coordination and communication
  • Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects
  • Demonstrated capability in thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing business presentations, technical writing and facilitating data driven options analysis senior level stakeholder discussions
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
  • An ability to travel to client sites across Canada
