A Financial Services Manager is responsible for performing finance and insurance activities related to vehicle sales while maintaining profit margins and customer satisfaction. They work closely with customers to offer financing options, obtain credit approvals and assist customers in selecting insurance and warranty products. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Work directly with customers to complete sales and finance transactions in compliance with company and lender policies.
Conduct thorough credit interviews, review credit bureaus and liaise with lenders to secure approvals.
Monitor lending portals and manage contracts in transit to ensure timely funding.
Present and sell financial protection products such as extended warranties, GAP insurance, life insurance and disability coverage.
Complete finance documentation accurately and deliver vehicles to customers.
Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, escalating when necessary.
Maintain positive relationships with management, team members, lenders, and third parties.
Complete all assigned FCA F&I training courses.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of sales and finance operations. (2 - 3 years experience in the automotive industry preferred)
Established relationships with financial institutions
Ability to calculate banking figures such as discounts, interest rates, percentages, and commissions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Proficiency with Excel and Dealer Management Systems
