ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a unique opportunity because it is suitable for the candidate who either has financial services experience or a desire to develop a practice in this area of law. The team also offers the flexibility to develop a split corporate/M&A practice if one does not want to focus exclusively on banking law.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be joining a nationally integrated team that has extensive experience in all areas of financing transactions. In this role you will work closely with the partnership while providing an excellent service to a variety of North American and global financial institutions, corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, pension funds, and credit unions. Due to the cohesive nature of the practice the associate in this role will have access to quality work generated from the Vancouver office in addition to the largest transactions originating out of Toronto.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 to 6 years experience in either financial services or corporate/commercial
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Member of the Law Society of British Columbia, or eligible to be called to the BC Bar

• Market leading salary (following recent salary trends)

• 3/4 weeks vacation
