About the Role:

This position is HYBRID with 3 days in office, 2 days work from home flexibility.

Make an impact as the Financial Reporting Lead for Canada. You'll be ensuring the implementation and coordination of financial and administrative processes of Ferrero in accordance with local legislation and Group policies. You will also support financial reporting and control over Commercial and Toller activities which will include administration activities related to general ledger, financial statements, all internal and external reporting functions and audits.

Main Responsibilities:

ENSURES COMPLIANCE IN ACCOUNTING AND RELATED SYSTEMS

  • Ensure compliance of accounting and related support systems in accordance to local laws and group policies
  • Make recommendation and implementation of the necessary changes with policy and procedures to support proper accounting methodologies and GRCA objectives
  • Provide ASPE and IFRS interpretation that document issues in a clear, comprehensive and logical manner
  • Ensure data integrity between interface of different systems, and financial statement information. Use proper tools in order reconcile local financial information and managerial information of the group to ensure data is accurate.
FINANCIAL REPORTING/CONTROLS
  • Review and manage the preparation of supporting documentation and analyses to support the local financial statements in accordance with ASPE and the group reporting package in accordance with IFRS, and creation of local Financial Statements in accordance with ASPE including proper note disclosures.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data to support all areas of the Company including Tax and GRC initiatives
  • Upload and reconciliation of financial information into Hyperion data system. Ensure proper disclosures concerning Company flows, maturities and also commitments.
  • Ensure reconciliation of all intercompany amounts in order to have no discrepancies amongst the Group.
GOVERNMENT FUNDING
  • Managing the completion of all periodic reporting as per the Government agreement and assist with the write up of documentation and obtaining relevant information to support Government approval for Government grants and loans
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AUDITS
  • Assist in the coordination of the internal and external audit and provide information as needed to meet fiscal audit dead-lines, as well as assure the compliance with legal constraints in order to safeguard Company assets and avoid dishonest behaviors.
Who we are looking for:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of financial and management accounting
  • Knowledge of local and federal and provincial regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
  • Ability to enforce administrative financial control systems, policies and procedures
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and SAP preferred
