We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a key role in contributing to the budgeting and forecasting, corporate planning, financial modeling and analysis, and preparation of investor materials.

What you will do:

  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and developing financial models to support the stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and evolving the corporate financial model including analysis such as scenario planning and long-term forecasting.
  • Contribute to monitoring corporate results versus budget/forecast and support key month-end and forecast processes.
  • Interact with other business units to ensure accuracy of key model assumptions.
  • Assist with preparation of financial presentations and reports for use by management, board of directors, and investors.
  • Assist in business process automation, such as report automation and other large-scale data analytics.
  • Assist with preparation and updating investor relations materials, including investor presentations and other disclosure documents, as necessary.
  • Provide ad hoc modeling and analysis as well as other duties as required.
What you will bring:
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Enrolled or pursuing a financial designation (CFA, CPA, etc.) would be considered as an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years in finance and/or real estate experience
  • Strong background in financial modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail
  • Ability to translate data into concise key messages.
  • Organized and possess strong project management skills with a keen business sense.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a strong internal business partner with a collaborative business focus.
